The Sea of Time

Seas of angry spirits

stay buried in the sand on the beach of life,

Never moving, never knowing the stone gate,

never knowing their fate.

Stony cliffs reaching to the shore,

hanging, waiting for someone new.

Old thoughts of days long ago bring

the sacred, dying tears to their eyes.

No one hears their cries.

Stoking lonely sand dunes,

rocks all kicked about.

Squeaking ships of harbor's docks,

prepare another route.

The moon and constellations lay

upon the water there.

The mirror of life, ancient times of past

repeat on every wave's tear.

I awoke to see the fantasy

finger painted in my mind.

I search for an answer of long ago

and reflection of it's medieval time.
