A sonnet I wrote
Wintertide

A cold, harsh winter snow covers the ground

A sorrow unyielding shrouds my torn heart

Love once potent can no longer be found

This frigid white snow will never depart

Our winter arrives, not a moment to late

Your arctic touch warms my fiery skin

For each winter, the next seems to dilate

I fear that spring may never come again

Oh, the unbearable cold starts once more

How your fickle love is frustrating me

The warmth leaves my chest as it did before

Your ice was my flame is that hard to see?

Winter upon me, I feel like dying

I must find someone to bring back my spring
