A slightly different take on the end of Summer ;-(
THE DEATH OF SUMMER

Summer danced gracefully
Singing brightly as she went
‘Cross lush green fields & valleys
Like an angel heaven sent

But as September meandered by
The colours changed from green to brown
The wind did whistle through the trees
As Summer’s joy began to drown

A battle raged as Summer fought,
Bravely pushing Autumn back
But as the wind did howl and whine
So Summer’s resolve began to crack

The skies did turn an ashen grey
Rain like the tears that Summer wept
The final blows that Autumn dealt
Left Summer gone, and now she slept
