A poem about a special moment
When love passed by

Why do we instantly connect with some people,
While others have no appeal?
Why do we slow down to keep them in view,
A long look to steal?

Moments like this we’ll remember later,
When our busy day is done
And there is no one to admire as much,
Only memories to think upon.

We remember a pretty face,
And think what might have been,
If only we had been prepared,
For this moment unforeseen.

Perhaps we will never see that person again,
That attractive walk, that lovely face,
But not for the lack of trying,
The spot has become a sacred place.

Time and again you revisit,
Hoping against hope for a repeat,
Of that brief moment in time,
When your heart so enjoyed a treat.
