Paper fire
Catches fast -
Burns so bright...
The slightest breath
Lifts up
The Whole
Red
Stack
Into a
Pulsing
Red
Roar.

Paper fire
Gone
In a flash.
Black
Swirling
Drifts
Of weightless ash
Scuttle
And Scour
Away from the hands
Coming in for warmth.

Smudgy little snowflakes
Drifting down on me
Dusting all the places
Fire used to be...
