A poem from the mouse's point of view.
Goodness! It's so very cold outside.
Though, if I go in, I'll have to hide.
Those people, in there. They hate me, I know.
But how can I raise my babies in snow?
They're moving around in there, all day.
So I'll wait til they sleep, then I know a way.
I'll sneak in under the cover of night.
They see me, they'll act like I gave them a fright.

So, quiet I'll be, while I make myself snug.
I won't take up much more space than a bug
Then I'll secretly take a few crumbs from the floor.
It's all that I need, I won't take any more.
Now that I've made a place for my brood,
I birth my babies and hope they are good
and don't cry too loud and give us away.
Those people that hate us, won't let us stay.

I think they suspect we are hiding in here.
They've set a few traps. A sign of their fear.
How can they fear someone small as we are?
You could fit my whole bunch in a very small jar.
I'm careful to miss their evil designs
as I travel the path of their power lines.
I teach my babes to hide where they're at,
for today I heard, they're getting a CAT!!!!!!
