Haiku 39 lines
Nights have grown colder,
Harvest moon lights up the night.
Time for family fun.

Jack-o-lanterns carved.
Costumes made and ready.
Family fun just begun.

Kids so excited,
Piling on the layers,
Winter coats, gloves, scarves

The kids are ready,
Hoping for snow on this night.
Still too warm for snow,

Thankful parents laugh
Thanking the heavens. For snow,
Is far too much work.

Family night tonight.
Hayride and carnival too.
Kids can't wait to go.

Waiting in the line,
For the hayride through the fields
And the orchards too.

At ride's end we're cold,
Carnival lights promise fun,
Warm drinks on sale there.

Hot apple cider,
Hot chocolate is there too.
Hot drinks all around.

Picking out the rides,
Riding those they like best.
Playing the fun games.

Funnel cakes for adults.
Candy or carmel apples,
Sweet treats for the kids.

Now the fun is done.
Heading home, kids fall asleep.
Once home, Straight to bed.

Relaxing alone,
Cuddling against the chill.
A good day for all.
