A dreary poem for a dreary time of year!
Doorways

Crossing paths in doorways
Needles. Haystacks. Barns.
In silence random noise plays
Orchestrating untold yarns
Fears left unspoken
Barns left never raised
A silence left unbroken
A beauty never praised
A brilliance dimly burning
As bushels lowly burn
Their absence noted turning
A ninja’s spin, a dancer’s turn
Subtle in the darkness
Yet clumsy all the same
Reckless in its absence
Yet present in the frame
As doors hinge on the open
Swinging slowly ever closed
Inside I feel broken
… and these thoughts lie unopposed
