A craving for apples.
I love apples
of all shades
and varieties,
my appetite
possessed
as if fair face
of Eve, composed
yet flowing amid
much greater appetites,
essential timeless rite...
antiquity’s rife seed
sought as treasure,
as the very heat
fleshed by ever
gentle biorhythms.
Sanctioned lust
I eat thereof,
sure and steady
like a classic waltz.
Fervent river,
succulent Eve
(I dare not stop),
that primal
  pulsing
      hunger.
