The view from the eyes behind the damaged brain.

Brain Damage

Fast by it goes
A trip down memory lane

Past ideas and events not remembered
Minds are teased insane.

Relations rendered and hurt
A heart aches for resolution

Words tied on tongue tips

A raging desolution

Anxieties abound a troubled woman
A straight jacket a long lost friend
Arms wrapped around tightly
Now broken once did mend

Hopeless and trapped
Darkness shrouds a hardened mind
The enemy from within
Lost of warmth and never kind

A wish and hope for time
In hallways now a ghost
Pictures filled with happiness
Of things one would boast

Forgotten and irretrievable
A wounded soul must grieve
So healing may find a way back in
And sadness takes its leave...
