Life is a highway
Driving down a bumpy, twisty, one-way road.

Some call it a journey, I call it life.

Don't look back at them, nothin' you owe.

You just can't help people in strife.

Foggy evening, can't see but ten feet ahead,

Surprises come along at every turn.

Only rest you get is when you lay in your bed,

When nightmares play back all that you've learned.

Only compensation is the music that you play,

To let your feelings out and above.

Meeting people, friends, all along the way,

They all leave but the one you love.

And when that person hops in your car for a drive,

Lock the door and don't let them go.

They'll be the thing always keeping you alive,

So take an exit to a new road.

Exit onto Route 0, high and bright.

Your passenger will show you the way.

Exit onto Route 0, exit the night,

Your love will bring you to a new day.

A cloudless day on Route 0, a warm kiss in the wind.

A cloudless day on Route 0, so take your love for a spin.
