A rewrite of the 26th Psalm. . .
Note: The prompt for this poem was to rewrite the 26th Psalm (The Lord is my Shepherd) for modern audiences. Pondering this made me remember that the Psalm is thought to have been written by David, who was himself a shepherd. That made me wonder if the trick was to try giving the Lord my own occupation.

The Lord is my teacher, there is nothing I can't learn.
He makes me open my mind to wonders.
He teaches my soul.
Even though I must take exams designed by Satan, I will fear no failure, for you are with me.
You prepare a graduation in the presence of my enemies.
You give a diploma no man read.
Rather all will see it when your goodness and love are displayed all the days of my life.
