If you have ever loved someone that wanted nothing to do with you.....
Seconds, minutes, hours, days,
Still my efforts remain unfazed.
Though it hurts the longer I wait,
One word from you is worth the pain.

I tell myself to move on,
But that isn't what I want.
Although I sit in silence,
My heart screams so much.

Millions of thoughts, waiting to be said,
None can muster even a whisper.
Rich are those who mysteriously avoid,
The dark side of love's flicker.

Here I am waiting still,
Staring out my window sill,
And there you are, with your deceitful smile,
For you have moved on and for quite a while.

Contemplating my choices at hand,
Reach for my demise or wait for your hand?
Whichever I choose, your love or my doom,
Victory is absent, either way I lose.
