Longing to see her once
The wait for her is agonizing now,
I wonder if she's in the same mess,
Waiting makes me crave her even more,
I want nothing more and nothing less.

These cruel seconds turn to minutes,
Which turn to hours and then to days,
An overwhelming urgency to see her once,
Before we turn and part our ways.

There are many things I want to say,
Questions to ask, and stories to tell,
I want to know so much about her,
I want her to know me just as well.

For the billionth time my mind wanders,
Back to those little conversations,
Laced with simple questions and answers,
And all speckled with flirtations.

Her memories aren't enough I feel,
I want her beside me right here and now,
"I love and need you, now and forever,
A lot more than you can ever know"

I can see her now, and though we've never met,
Can feel her warm hands on my face,
I can feel her touch, it's friendly yet,
It takes me to another place.

Her eyes look intently into mine,
Her emotions hard to decipher,
My heart pounding, she pulls me close,
And she holds me even tighter.

And with the soft voice that she is blessed with, she says...
