My comeback
They say this & they say that but who cares what they say
What about what me say
Or should I say I like one half of the balls that allow me to see
That there are too many balls in the air for me catch beacuse
I'm a human being & not an octopus
Plus I haven't mutated since I became this monster of cynicism
That doesn't believe in anything except for my own right to be cynical
While I watch some follow others I still choose to remain critical
Until I woke up in the hospital damn near mentally killed by own thoughts that were criminal
Which made me change my views like channels on a television
Just to find out all the other stations are even worse
So I thought a trip to the movies might lift me from this curse
And it did until my favorite characters body was returned to the dirt
But as he lay underground never again to be found
I noticed a frown in the shape of an upside down rainbow
Because secretly he had died happily although to me it was a tragedy
