Remembering a childhood past time.
There is an old mining hole where I used to live as a child.

On days full of boredom, I would go there and talk to it just to hear the echoes. I would also throw random objects into it. I would throw my plastic soldiers, G.I. Joe figures, and He- Man figures.

One day, i threw a half eaten ham and cheese sandwich. A few seconds later, I swear I heard a voice say, " Thank you".

I replied, " You are welcome".

The hole answered back, " Tomorrow can you add more cheese?"

I went back the next day with a ham and triple cheese sandwich.

I threw it down the hole.

The voice in the hole said, " Thank you."

I appreciated it and said, " You are welcome."

The voice said," Tomorrow can you make it cheddar cheese and not mozzarella cheese."

I never went back.
