When I finally realized he lacked any self-esteem, the game was over.
I need to let him know that I really appreciate that he was't drunk at my Mother's funeral. He was her auto mechanic. They gad a special friendship, matbe like the son she never had.

We started being friends a couple of years ago. Mom didn't know about his alcoholism. She wouldn't have told me to lean on him for help when she was dead and gone. I'm glad she didn't know. I'd been around him for less than two weeks and I realized that he drank a lot of beer, all the time.
