The story of Atlantis.
The Lost City

Memories of an ancient world
A city lost to time
Of sparkling palaces and spinnerets
Rich with beauty so sublime.

Where rainbow colored tapestries
Hung down from marble walls
And flowers bursting with bright hues
Sweetly scented every hall.

Where peace and love resounded
Within a people rich with grace
Evident in every song and story
On every loving face.

T’was on a night of feasting
This great city met its end
While children danced, a wave advanced
Neither stone nor life would contend.

Poseidon’s wrathful wall of death
Consumed the city whole
Every tower, tome and tapestry
Every beautiful enlightened soul.

For nature’s madness there is no cure
No way of knowing the cost
To forgotten seas and endless dreams
The city was forever lost.
