Just a vessel... just to carry and to give. Words from a breadwinner.
When will they know
The spark in your eyes
Are tears you refuse to shed?

Tired spirit with open arms...
But clenched fist
How do they know you're crying?

You're smiling
Like life is pure sunshine
You laugh... and the world is fine

Because you know. Because you understand.

Your inside calls, questioning and ripping
Carefully wrapped in shiny tin foil,
Tied into a bun. Everybody wants it.

And there goes a song... but it's the only time
Truth is talking.

Of everything you've touched...
All that's been given...
All you've received...
How much of life is actually yours?

You're just a package.
