A romantic poem. I can't remember who I wrote this for.
Wade

You are like a cool wade in the water
After a hard summer’s trek
A small bit of peace
In my hurricane of thoughts
I go underneath and drink you in

Refreshing, soft is the gentle stream
The steady oak which brings my shade
When the world offers too much pain
Like a burn to the skin
You remain

I begin to crave the sweetness
Of the solo Eden apple
My world has become an ocean of beauty
But there is a fine line
Between freedom and drowning
