Dictated from my hospital bed last year - Thank you, Dear Mother.
Silky through a lushness
remembering yesterday's call,
the cliff beckons my step
with emerald blades and wildflower bridge
seduced into flowering a fullness
caressed by heavens scarlet, purple
and cerulean
and at night spreading true
the morrow's hidden ridge
where star births await their time
upon fate's saving rhyme
I fear not the fall
