This could make you cry. This could make you feel better. It is a poem about my life.
He's daydreaming about life and what he is
He's a senior, with graduation on its way
He knows that his old life he'll miss
And he'll miss it day-by-day.

He's in the band room, the place that keeps him alive
He'll miss it very dearly, just like the band.
But nows its gone and he's taken a great dive
He thinks its time to become one with the land.

His head is clouded while he moves through the house
He finds what he needs; the knife that shall end it all
He begins to think of himself as just an unwanted mouse
When suddenly he stops, hearing a call

His mind is completely dark and dead
Yet somehow, he can see a dim light from afar
He walks towards it, all this happening in his head
He stops when he gets close to a door slightly ajar.

He opens it quickly, wondering what lies behind
He's back in the band room with friends starting to cry
He quickly understands what shows in his mind
This is what will happen if he proceeds to die

Then everything's gone; he's back from fake to real
With the knife still moving, he suddenly stops the flow
He starts to see his friends from the ordeal
And realizes he must stop this knife's blow

He doesn't die, knowing what he must do
For the sake of his friends he will live not die
He always thought it was the end, but that is not true
And to always remember his friends, he will try

He heads back to bed, knowing what it means
As long as he remembers his friends, he'll keep living
To teach music and help others gleam and glean
As he remembers he's not alone, he'll keep on giving

I'm sorry if this poem is hard to understand when it comes to dialect and word pattern but I felt it needed to be written how I would have written it back then.
