Dream World

Force yourself to live
when you're trying not to feel:
living in a dream world,
it's hard to know what's real.

Peering out through rose-colored glasses
the mist shrouded world I see is never quite clear,
for I've colored my world with roses:
in this fantasy land there's nothing to fear.

But what happens when the colors fade?
When reality begins to dominate?
The dreams I hide behind slip away:
can I salvage my heart, or is it too late?
