A poem of farewell written to give me closure over an inexplicable shun
Goodbye, David

No piercing in our tongues from our first date, just like there was

No music in the background when you sang at my wedding, much like there was

No hair on his head after you called me while preparing your father for chemo

No say from me on the matter when you ceased contact with me and

No good bye or notice that the friendship was over, just

No contact or return of my contact attempts, making me feel

No respect for such an inexplicable shun, you had

No courage to face me with to say good-bye, just the void leaving

No closure, at least for me the one left in the dark, but I did gain a sense of

No regret, so, I guess, thank you for all the nothing you gave me
