You know, the old toy that described the sound of animals. Please rate. Leave comments.
SEE N SAY

The plate says
You are forever in my debt.
The salt says
Spill me only intentionally.
The garbage can says
May I eat the table scraps?

But as the toy became old
Did the garbage can start
Asking for your mom’s purse,
For your kidneys, your heart?

I bet it’s all still on the table.

I bet the kitchen is the same also.
The plates, steaming of sustenance,
The old black cat circling the table,
Not daring to look up or lick her lips.
