Words can be deceiving.
You said you’d never leave me,
But I can’t see you
now.

You said you’d love me always,
Yet you broke that lovely
vow.

You said you’d never break me,
But I’m broken
anyhow.

You said you’d never hurt me,
Yet you’ve hurt me more than I
allow.

You said that you were sorry,
But the act is over, take a
bow.

You said you’d never leave me,
But I can’t
see
you
now.
