a short poem of not wanting to lose a loved one

BLACK

Color of death.

black is the color of death,

the color of the terrifying starless night sky,

color of the emos,

color that scary rock bands wear.

The color I wear because i love it,

but i never want the day to come when i have to see you laying there,

breatless, motionless, when you're with us, but not with us,

when I'll wear black not for my fashion taste,

but because you, a huge chunk of my heart is no longer around for me to wrap my arms around you,

the need to talk to you about what's on my mind,

the need of having to be around you,

don't ever leave, i love you.
