Brief poem on how writing changes one's life, including mine.
Poetry delivers excitement and rids the pain. Films, books, music, and society transfer thoughts of rhyme and reason to my mind. This inspiration and clarity became tough to find, at first. Yet, as I watch, read, and listen to life and growth become my mission. All of these pleasures keep me sane each and every day. I am now poeticated, and no longer intoxicated. There is no need to be sedated when so much life is surrounding my mind and soul. New doors now are open while old doors are slammed shut. Religion has taken hold, as a higher power brings a spiritual feel. It is a forgotten wonder and power once had as a child. It just faded away as the wild life took hold. There is now time to look, listen, feel and learn. Spirituality has become my red fern. Dedication and success can only lead to all of this wonderful poetic access.
