This poem follows a theme dear to my heart, that of reconnecting to our past.
The streets I walk in moonlight are the ones I walk in dreams.

I've walked them many times before, but now the difference seems,

That no longer streets or highways thus where stripling youths did play,

But haunted places of the night where searching souls would stay.

And join with specters in the glow of lights which flee the dawn,

While tiny footprints leave their trace from dews upon the lawn.

And of those prints I have no fear, I count them oh so dear,

For they are friends that share my love for times when we were here.

So each night I walk in moonlight, and dread the coming dawn,

With friends all there to meet me, and plot our goings-on.

So night on night the neighbors hear the sounds of children's play,

And running feet down every street, until the break of day.
