What a character November can be! 3rd place in Newbie Poetry Contest for November 2015.

November

She turns muddy gray and pours tears from her eyes,

Her perpetual frown darkens clouds in the sky.

Crumpled leaves litter the ground

Turning reds and yellows to crackling brown.

She blows the trees until they are bare

And sprinkles snow dust in mid air.

Frosting greens with morning dew,

November takes a nip or two.

Her fading light brings day to close

Too quickly now in sweet repose.

Just for fun she brushes a misty shroud

And wipes it away by laughing aloud.

Her final flourish sends frosty chills

White wet snow blankets valleys and hills.

Billowing dark clouds waft in heaving splendor

When November exits to snowy December.
