a view of the massacre at the Paris venue from the inside.
As I lay down in the blood of strangers
holding my breath in fear of danger.
Hoping and praying my eyes don't weep
here amongst those who have found eternal sleep.

The gunshots sound from all around
as the chamber echos the ghastly sounds.
I hide my fears as they continue to bound
quietly listening for movements or sound.

How soon will the horror of the nightmare end
never, for heartbroken families and friends
as their loved ones were taken and broken
and their futures from all were stolen

heroes were born and hearts were torn
as unending desolate hours were borne.
The struggle of living beyond death
continues to be the ultimate test.

The monsters that did this will have no names
they will be forgotten with all their claims.
