The Darkest Spot

The darkest spot in my room
is the light fixture.
Used up and
alone.
The heart and the bright
and the sure and the steady...
without power is useless.
Everything I claim
and all that I have
is no match for the extrusion
of the absence of energy
created by the one sole beacon
outside of me.
And it's not your fault,
and it's not my faults,
but it's your fault
when it isn't my fault.
