My cousin died of cancer recently. We used a Valkyrie as a symbol of her struggle.
Sleep tight, little one
In Valhalla they toast your name
Your fight is now done
Little Valkyrie, heart of flame

May they herald you as their own
As the Valkyr list their heroes
May you see Odin upon his throne
Their hearth's warmth in your toes.

Sleep sound, young valiant
Your wings shine bright to all
Your flight shall be gallant
Little Valkyrie, that's your call

When the curtain falls on our fights
Shall your hand hold us true
Shall you bring us to see your sights
To the hero's hall in the deep blue

Sleep safe, tiny warrior
Rest your weary shield
In time be our courier
Little Valkyrie, It's your field
