A son searching for the Father
His father had left the house early morning without having breakfast. He had a quarrel with his Wife. She was weeping but was busy preparing lunch. She had to do all these chores inspire of her sadness. Not like her husband who could go out if he wanted

"Amma don't cry, Appa will be back" consoled the son

"He left in the morning. He has never done this before, no matter how much we fought" said the Mother. "Can you go and find out?"

"Ok, any idea where he could have gone?"

"He meets his friends usually, why don't you check with them? This is a small village, you can find him easily Deepak"

"OK. I'll call if required"

Saying so the son left the house and checked all his Father's friends

Ramnath a friend said "Your father doesn't join us these days. Check at the tree near the well in the outskirts of the village, that's where he sits always thinking about something"

Deepak ran towards the well worried about his father fearing if had jumped into the well

As he approached there he could see a group of people around the well looking inside at those who were attempting to lift a body. Deepak pushed through and with great anxiety peered in

"The body is stuck underneath and the clothes are tearing apart if we pull" said one of the volunteers, showing the cloths to the crowd hoping someone would recognize the clothes

Those were his father's clothes, seeing that he called his mother. Greatly upset she left all her jobs unattended and came running towards the well to see

The men had a difficult time pulling out the body so it was not clear to anyone who it was

As mother was looking inside weeping, a hand touched her shoulder. She turned around to find her husband. He was alive and one of the onlookers too

"What, why did you do this? If you are angry with me why don't you talk it out. You made me really upset" said the mother

"Worried that I drowned is it?" he said

"Yes, very much. Are you happy now that you made be cry? You wanted to see that isn't it?"

"I wanted to see how much you and my son loved me if I died, that's all. I really feel sorry now"

A voice from the well shouted saying "We managed to pull him" and started to lift the body out of water

To the mother's astonishment it was her husband whose body was found. She turned around and found no one

Her heartbeat nearly stopped and she fell down unconscious when her son ran towards her already grieving for the loss of his Father
