A wide awake nightmare
Awake and dreaming
Awake and dreaming
My eyes wide open
I can't stop screaming

An icy sweat
A gasping breath
My soul forlorn
I see my death

Awake, but dreaming
Awake, but dreaming
My eyes closed tight
I can't stop screaming

Panic filled
Mind is tattered
Sanity flees
From all that mattered

Awake, not dreaming
Awake, not dreaming
I wish I was blind
I can't stop screaming

Terror stricken
Thoughts awry
Teardrops falling
I'm going to die

Awake or dreaming
Awake or dreaming
Eyes don't know which
I can't stop screaming

The horror near
My time is past
The nightmare real
The end at last

Endless dreaming
Endless dreaming
Eyes shut for good
I stop screaming
