Grief from a different view
She lies beneath another sky,
From that which she had seen,
Upon the day before that one,
She wished had never been.

She lies beneath the other sky,
Coloured fawn and grey,
Looks upon the changing birds,
As they drift away.

She wonders at the other sky,
Asks what it really means.
The trees, they fade before her,
This solitude not seen.

By those not of the other sky,
Who cannot feel the pain,
That grips like tiger's jaws,
Feeding weakness once again.

She lay too long beneath her sky,
This time, it was agreed,
She’d grieved too intently,
Then crossed her sky to meet the sea.
