Watching your child go through their first heartbreak

I watch you from across the room,
Closing down,
Falling apart,
Breaking your heart.

I don’t speak,
As you wont hear,
Don’t comfort,
As you wont feel

I watch you from across the room,
Closing down,
Falling apart,
Breaking your heart.

The song,
Still plays,
Your tears,
Still fall.

As I watch you from across the room,
Closing down,
Falling apart,
Breaking your heart.

You struggle to breath,
To keep it inside,
The pain your feel,
Desperate to hide.

And all I can do,
Is watch my son,
From across the room,
Closing down,
Falling apart,
Breaking his heart.
