Hemorrhage

In the western hemisphere
there's hemorrhage.
Crimes are perpetrated
against replies that disagree
with a peer's political view.
The tearful atmosphere created
by the politics of fear
omits freedom in the homeland.

A militia of brokers
battle the bankrupt.
Journalists affix labels
that dehumanizes dissent.
Factions issue talking points
parroted in mindless arguments.
I wonder if anyone actually
thinks about their actions.

Politicians woo money
by passing regulations
favored by huge corporations.
Advertising is supported
by millions who vote
with mouse clicks on videos
of violence, shame, and prostitution.
Who is the real whore?
