The similarities of three generations
Generations

From my grandfathers face,
To the face of my son.
With all of our features,
We are the same.

We moved at the same pace,
And our pictures as if they were one.
We are the same creatures,
And we share the same name.

We do things with style and grace,
And when were together we always had fun.
Now my son sits upon the bleachers,
As if he were watching a game.

Now my grandfather has gone to a better place,
And his life is all but done.
He was among my greatest teachers,
And he had the truest aim.

Into my mind many times I felt your infiltration.
From pain you brought me to bliss.
You always were there without hesitation.
To guide me, so my vessel would not lyst.

This poem is for you my twin who spans the generations,
Your genes carry on within us, and you will be missed.
I promise to meet your expectations.
To be a part of your family, I feel as if I were blessed.

Many days I sat listening to you say your incantations.
And you taught me how to make a fist.
There were things about you that caused me to have a fascination
And to explore it you always would insist.

To my grandfather, my hero whom never caused me any frustrations.
We will love you always as I watch you walk amongst the mist.
The things we did in life I have no regrets, only admiration.
Someday we shall meet again, signed your grandson Christian.
