See Worthy

Sunlit, the tranquil silent sea
fades gently in obscurity
as night descends. I sit alone,
a carving made from night's dark stone,
and watch the sunset's jubilee.

I mourn the light, watching it flee
into the dark infinity
then reappear as stars are sown
across the tranquil silent sea.

As if some arcane deity
prepared this display just for me,
I watch the moon ascend her throne,
her coronation softly shown
in muted tones reflectively
upon the tranquil silent sea.

Prompt: Water or Sun (or, perhaps both? )

Form: A Rondeau is a French form, 15 lines long, consisting of three stanzas: a quintet, a quatrain, and a sestet with a rhyme scheme as follows: aabba aabR aabbaR. Lines 9 and 15 are short - a refrain (R) consisting of a phrase taken from line one. The other lines are longer (but all of the same metrical length)..
