A poet's mind speaking out
Once I had no time to spare,
but I had a dream, as sweet as cream.
Now I have the time which was so rare -
What a shame, I have excuses so lame!
I nourished a dream so dear
"My calling" I admit, a distant dream it does seem
In poet's corner my soul to submit, fixing dinner with diligent care
Procrastination. It ain't a cake walk, the balancing beam.
My child is calling. Now that you are a mom, don't you dare-
Chasing a dream so big. It's too late you silly dame.
Better late than never. A prisoner I have been in a lair
Not for fortune, not for fame
Elixir of my soul. My dream. My kelidioscope fair.
Like Alice after the hare, let me run my game.
