Poem about being the person you want to be, and struggling to find that.
Sometimes, I wish I could just join in her chaos,
Instead of staying here in the comfort of everything.
Her essence unfolding in layers,
And mine stretched flat like a string.

Be immersed in her vivid colors,
While I’m fading black and white.
She’s wild and free and lovely,
And I’m a spark failed to ignite.

So tell me how to reach her world,
Like a prisoner, being set free.
Tell me how to reach the girl,
Inside of the reflection of me.

Catching her is like harnessing a breeze,
I wish I could make her stay.
But I can’t cage someone like her,
I will be just the same, someday.

But for now I’m in this body,
Of someone I no longer know.
I wonder what happened to that other girl,
The one who used to show.
