Inspired by the movie of the same name
Kubo

Animated from the start
If you must blink, do it now
Images that play their part
With heartstrings plucked a prow
Magic from the starting frames
The motion stops for sounds
The ocean crashes down in waves
Captured on their rounds
An origami Samurai
To guide and point the way
A Monkey totem, bought to life
A Beetle Ronin, stray
To fight both gods and monsters rise
To defend a sacred tryst
'gainst Moon King binds, Twin Sisters ties
For the right to live, exist
To protect an offspring of the past
A past so doomed to fail
Where people fail music lasts
The paper leaves a trail
Like sushi in a boat of leaves
A bed of sea cress things
A sword, a helmet, armour gleams
Played upon two strings
Folded as winds fashion, turn
Through woods, the wind it rhymes
Paper folding passions burn
Bold as brass at times
Flitting as a flat world flows
Shaping sky blue wings
Floating on the winds it goes
It forms mosquito's stings
In tales from a boneyard's touch
The hair, it is entwined
Eyes submerged, they see too much
To old men double blind
To have both eyes, a blessed thing
With one, we question how
Guitars weep gently on two strings
If you must blink, do it now
