A dark dream.
The emptiness is a shallow hole in my heart yet the happiness rings true for me. I am alive and surviving. These barren streets are my home and without any doubt in my mind I push onward. My life is simple and so is my purpose: find the light and you shall break the darkness.
Now, I just need to find out what that means.
My hands are cold from this frozen winter and my breath doesn't stabilize the cold. I know I am the only one left of my kind anyway.
"You see chap, all of the peasants, like me, are rotting inside a very dark hole somewhere. Some people call it jail, others call it hell."
