Three Minute Read
Cupcake

"Where did you hide it?"

“I didn’t hide it.”

“Well, where is it?”

“How would I know?”

“It was sitting on the counter; you were the only one here.”

“Maybe you left it in the car? I don’t know, I didn’t take it if that’s what you’re getting at, why would I?”

“So you could have it.”

“I don’t even like cupcakes.”

“Well, maybe you thought you were helping me stay on my diet.”

“Honey, I learned my lesson about helping you stay on a diet many years ago! I value my life! Besides, you don’t need to be on any diet, you’re perfect.”

“Come on…”

“No really, why are you even on a diet? You look wonderful, better than the day I married you.”

“Really?”

“Yes, really, let’s go out to lunch, you can get a cupcake there, or pie.”

“Oh, that would be nice, let’s!”
...
“But what did you do with the bag and the cupcake paper?” the cat asked the dog, “won’t she find them and figure out you swiped it?”

“Nah,” he said, “I ate them too.”
