Heartbroken

You stood in front of our world and promised
That you would be the sun that shines my dark existence
The rain that waters my roots and makes my branches stretch in full bloom
You Promised!

That one day I’ll be the happiest person on this planet
That you’d stay with me forever till we’re old and grey
That you will protect me from the scorching ray
And I banked on it!

Its 12 years now and I’m on the banks of the harbor
Gigantic cargo ships from your lips dropping container loads of shit
And I’m supposed to drink it drunk like I drank from your tank of intoxicating lyrics the day you promised it.

You should be in prison because you murdered my strength
You killed the happiness within and I conceived death
Now I’m on the brink of losing consciousness
Raptured to my obsolescence
I cry heaven,
But my dreams are wrought in hell.
Death my only path to life.
