Contest entry for Writer's Cramp...
The day Jan Blaauw did disappear,
a note was found down by the pier.
"I'm going away, you'll never know
my where-abouts," signed Jan Blaauw.
But this was strange; it was because
no one knew who Jan Blaauw was.
The town was overturned, you see.
The name Jan Blaauw was on t.v.
The Netherlands sent out the ads,
a big reward for lass or lads
or anyone who knew this man,
Jan, the man from Rotterdam.
Years went by, the case unsolved.
Interest in this man disolved.
Not one clue to his history,
Jan Blaauw remains a mystery.
