                             An Ode to You, Mom

                   You offered me the blueprints

That led me to the present

                   With guidance and compliments

                   And good common sense.

                   You never once showed doubt

                    I'd discover my route,

Hit the ball, and not strike out

                   Find out what life's about.

                   You insisted that I could,

And then told me that I should.

Dear Mom, who gave me childhood,

                   Thanks, for all that's good.
