Prayer to God in the evening of life.
LONG WALK HOME

My Father, I am Your child.
You sent me to this earth
So that I may serve You well
And prove to You my worth.

Though I have followed Your path
I have been tempted, too.
But even in temptation,
I have remembered You.

This sojourn is now complete.
I’ve almost lived my life
Bearing in equal measure
Pleasure as well as strife.

To You now I must return.
But in darkness I roam,
Father, show me light, hold my
Hand on this long walk home.
