Near the Fountain

Near the fountain
young people laugh and talk.
Music of their voices blend
with the water's song in a joyful symphony.

Near the fountain
young lovers part ways,
soft words and flowing tears-
the fountain gushes its own tears
of sympathy.

Near the fountain
people dare to dream:
hopes, joys, sorrows.
The calm waters reflect
in cooling harmony.

Near the fountain.
